The definition of nourishment lies in how warm we feel in life, for we radiate that warmth to all those we welcome. And to have them stay, we have to share some of what keeps us numb. And it’s our mother who holds such guidance.

We absorb what we want to see and reflect what we actually see. Our perspective is limited by who we allow ourselves to see. But what we do know is that our parents will always be with us, in heart and home. We have to set them up for success by understanding their needs and strengths. We can’t expect more than they’ve already given us, but we can build on that and give back, even if but a fraction of their affection.
