Overwatch New Blood 5: Possible Hints at a New Overwatch Hero

Overwatch’s New Blood comic, where Cole Cassidy (formerly known as Jesse McCree) is on a journey to recruit new members to face of the Null Sector invasion which kickstarted the events of Overwatch 2, has finally ended with its 5th entry.

This issue showed us a glimpse of what it’s like to be a MEKA member, and we mainly followed D.VA. as she tries to save South Korea from a null sector invasion.

The premise is a simple story about the squad saving the day, but what’s interesting is that we see all 5 MEKA members in full swing. We never got to see them in action when they were revealed in the animated short a few years ago, so we finally get some personality out of them, even if just a teeny tiny bit.

Normally, side characters aren’t cause for such buzz, but because all 5 MEKA members seem to have unique mechs and designs, it’s possible we may get another member to join Overwatch, at least as a playable character in Overwatch 2.
