One Piece Chapter 1066 Review: Lore from Vegapunk
Voice of One Piece: Vegapunk Runs Us Back to Ohara
We get more context as to what happens at Ohara, especially the reason as to why it was destroyed. The government clear doesn’t want anyone to know about what happened at the time of the Void Century, but of course, Vegapunk was able to get that knowledge.
Would be great to know what actually happened, of course. But more so, how does it apply to today, and why is it so dangerous? It’s obvious the government wants to kill Vegapunk because he knows too much now, perhaps that’s another reason why he’s created 6 variants of himself so space the storage but also protect it.
He looks like Einstein, which is totally an Oda thing to do.
It’s good to know Saul survived. A death fake out that actually makes sense. Kuzan has always been a good person, and him using his ice to protect Saul only makes the Elbaf arc even more interesting.
Seeing Robin get emotional was wonderful. We’ve really lacked Strawhat centric chapters, especially those that develop or express their personality or dreams. This opens up new wounds for her, but knowing that Saul is safe also heals it. She’s such an interesting character, so getting lore and expression related to her makes the chapter great.
The fact that Dragon and Vegapunk are tied is great, only teasing the eventual meet up between Luffy and Dragon even better. He knows so much, but what is the real incentive and intention behind overthrowing the government?
