One Piece Chapter 1062 Review: Vegapunk and Weirdness
Voice of One Piece: Exploring The New Technological Island.
This chapter gets the flow of the arc running pleasantly. There’s enough intrigue about the area and both Bonney and Vegapunk’s pasts.
It’s chapters like these that really allow One Piece’s blood pumping as we explore Oda’s novelty. We’re exploring more of the technological and space-based side of the series.
So, does the chapter start with Aokiji’s ice? I can’t say for sure, especially as no one Whole Cake Island can do what’s been happened.
We get some fun interactions between Vegapunk 02, Robin, and Zoro. Really emphasizing that they are now a Yonko crew, and that even Vegapunk recognizes their strength. It’s classic One Piece vibes.
We get to learn more about how Kuma is Bonney’s father, and she has some relationship with Sabo, potential shipping here, or does she know if he was harmed too — conveniently left that out when it comes to telling Luffy of course.
Outside those efforts, Luffy had fun with the holographs, which is nice to see. This is a whole other side to One Piece, one which hasn’t been explored as much. So definitely a breath of fresh air after a very lengthy traditional arc. Luffy also learned about Vegapunk…
