Another Marvel Cinematic Universe show has come and gone, and all I can think of is the term Mid Marvel.

With a large emphasis on exaggerated culural values and history, Ms. Marvel tries to incorporate the Pakistani customs and people into its large fantastical narrative.

From a simple, world-building perspective, it does work. But as someone who understands, it comes across as quite cringe by showing the mundane and uninteresting aspects of the nation.

Though, to give credit where it’s due, episode 5 did have strong moments and acting, paying off some of built up lore through emotional expression and tying the series…
