Mouse is a great example of how to recontextualize your entire perspective through a simple shift in thinking and intentions.
Starting off with a crucial backstory which sets up the themes of the show, Mouse has a slow start, but it pays off exponentially once you understand the planning and execution behind its revelations and mysteries.
I want to keep this review as simple and spoiler free as possible as any hint may give away too much. That’s just the type of show it is. And perhaps just saying that may be too much already.
But essentially, the series is one of detectives and murders. They’re linked to someone who came before, and so it’s an expression of legacy and twisted justice. The show tries to persuade you that there is greater and deeper reasoning behind psychopath killers, while also showing you the simple irrational and grievous responses to their actions.
Our core cast comprises a detective and a cop, Moo-chi and Ba-reum respectively. They’re trying to figure out the patters behind the blasphemous murders and links to a past…
