Perspective into Review
With identity at the core of its conflict, Moon Knight explores the truths we’ve trapped away from ourselves while slowly welcoming life’s deadly yet desireable discoveries. Its plot-driven narrative centered around clashing the protagonist’s internal dilemma versus the antagonist’s external agenda inspires confidence that the Disney+ Marvel Cinematic Shows are filling their gaps and taking feedback well.
Moon Knight follows our main lead, who is a mix bag of personalities. Initially, we’re met with Steven Grant who works an ordinary shop and has no idea of who he really is. On the other hand, there’s another persona living within him called Marc Spector who tries to take back control of their body.
The series is an interaction between external evils and internal upheavals, one which the MCU doesn’t explore too much. It’s refreshing to be able to see a superhero show deal with conflict within a character’s mind while still focusing on a villain who shares some kind of a past with the hero.
