Mental Health Matters: Tiny Tip 19
Moments of Meditation: Separate Yourself from Your Belongings to Find Yourself
A big part of our lives centers around attachments. We’re linked to what we own, what we want, and what we can never have.
But when it comes to the impermanence of life, there’s no benefit to sticking to the material. It’s everything spiritual that eventually rides on with us to the ethereal.
And it’s when we push all these distractions away do we find a way towards our destinations. Not because we can’t enjoy what is available to us, but because we don’t know better as to what we want now versus what we want then.
When we’re so stuffed with everything fluff, it becomes hard to breathe in the very shield that we need — one that protects us from everything that leads us astray, in ways that fence us from our means to betray.
Yes, we may have memories and emotions tied to those things, but allow yourself to cherish them for the moments and motions for what significance they hold. Embrace who you are by pushing forward from who you were.
You’ll only find yourself when you’re ready to let go as everything important will latch on only after it’s all gone.
