Perspective into Review

It seems quite anime is evolving to an extent where there’s a lot less fluff as the plot takes center stage, at least it is so for the current landscape of battle shone series. Though, many may seem simple, inspired by Bleach’s Humans vs Monsters structure, it’s always welcoming to see action done right with some emotional moments here and there when you want to chill.

That’s exactly what this scenario of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc offers. It’s an 11 episode journey of what you want from a self-contained story arc that focuses on slight mystery, emotional payoff, character growth, and a big bowl of battle and blood.

Demon Slayer isn’t necessarily a series I praise to a high extent, but without trying to find much meaning, it does what it sets out to well. Its cast is colorful enough, and while some may find the archetypes too clichéd, that’s just a part of the anime, manga experience.
