Sanity is a madness put to good uses — George Santayana

As individuals, our ability to be self aware is what helps us understand where we want to go. It can start as simple as the thirst for water, as the grunt when in pain, or a sigh when tired. It’s a reflex which we don’t flex enough.

This is what keeps us sane, which ultimately allows us to help ourselves. You have to be your own charity so that you can empathize with at least one person. If you don’t understand what you want, you won’t be able to reach out to others. This means that you have to be open to letting yourself express and voice your thoughts. It’s only when it’s out there that it’s clear inside.

You have to meet yourself half way so that you can greet yourself all the way. Inside, you’ll feel full when you empty your mind. Outside, you’ll feel fresh because everything is now in sight. It’s this back and forth which leads us to new insight.
