So it all began on January 7th, 2022 when I decided I was going to publish an article every single day. And well, I did, to this day — including this article, which is a simple one. I guess, if any lesson is to be learned, we all need our breaks while still sticking to the schedule.

In the beginning, it feels like progress, but then it just becomes another process. But I’m glad it’s something I tried.

Discipline is a self fulfilling prophecy, one where you have to start and stick to a plan and see it come through. It’s always hardest at the start, but it’s believing and sticking to yourself that becomes addicting. To see something through, even if just a little.

The notion that 1% each day compounds to 37 times a growth may not be as fancy as it sounds as we aren’t just numbers and experience diminishing returns, but if we can root what is important to us, it makes each day feel more fulfilling.

The real lesson here is not about writing, making money or staying consistent, but it’s about investing in yourself. Being honest about what’s important to you. Working towards something that helps others while adding value and meaning to your catalogue.

Use yourself as a means to explore what you like, throw out ideas and watch some fly while others come back and ask you why. There’s a world inside you that wants to be explored, so try something new everyday.
